Haroldston
Farmhouse is situated 1 mile from Haverfordwest,
in beautiful open countryside, with views stretching as far as
the Preseli Mountains.
A whole range of shops, pubs and restaurants are within a short
drive (or walk if you are energetic), yet Haroldston is in a
tranquil setting, at the end of a 300 yard private lane and is
ideal for a peaceful holiday. We believe that the convenience
of facilities is important, when you are on holiday and particularly
for those who are enjoying a short break in Wales, where time
is the essence.
The house is generously proportioned and is designed to comfortably
accommodate 12 adults. This makes it ideal for family reunions,
club outings and for people who enjoy the self-catering cottage
experience but dont want to rough it.
The beach at Broad Haven is only 15 minutes drive away, and
many attractions, such as Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm, Heatherton, Tenby and St David's, are all
within easy reach (see our 'Things
To Do' section). Indeed, Haroldstons central location
makes it an ideal base for exploring the whole of Pembrokeshire.
The area is steeped in history with many beautifully preserved
castles and other buildings. Haroldston takes its name from the
now ruined Elizabethan manor (owned by Sir John Perrott
Elizabeths half brother) and may well have been a farmhouse
on that estate.
If you are looking for a golfing holiday there is a 9 hole golf
course within a mile and an 18 hole course within 3 miles. Pembrokeshire
also caters very well for a more relaxing fishing holiday.
There are a selection of excellent walks in the locality, which
are detailed in our own guide. The path that follows the western
arm of the beautiful Cleddau River is a short stroll away.
