The Raj changed hands in February 2011 and we have had an excellent takeaway from there. Also, an acquaintance had a family meal there and had nothing but praise for the service and quality of food.

Directions – Turn right out of the end of the drive. Bear left at the end of Clay Lanes, into Winch Lane. The road goes around a sharp right hand bend. In about 400 yards you will reach the leisure centre on your left. As the road curves to the left, around the leisure centre, bear right into Upper Market Street. Go over the crossroads (Palace Cinema on the left) into Market Street. The Raj is on the right. There is limited parking in Market street or in Hill Street (turn left at the cinema). Failing that, there is more extensive parking in St Thomas Green, which is adjacent to the leisure centre.
